UAE Weather Warning: Rain, Fog, and Dusty Winds to Impact Visibility

Date:

The United Arab Emirates is bracing for a period of unsettled weather over the next five days, characterized by potential rainfall, fog, mist, and dusty winds in various regions. Residents and motorists are advised to stay alert as these conditions may reduce visibility, especially during early morning and overnight hours.

On Saturday, October 17, convective clouds are expected to form in the eastern parts of the UAE, which could lead to rain in the afternoon. The forecast indicates that temperatures will range between 37°C to 42°C in inland areas, 35°C to 40°C along the coast, and 28°C to 33°C in mountainous regions, with skies remaining fair to partly cloudy.

Moving into Sunday, October 18, rainfall might occur in some northern and eastern areas as clouds develop during the afternoon. Increased humidity overnight is likely to result in fog or mist forming in coastal and inland regions by Monday morning.

On Monday, October 19, the weather pattern continues with the possibility of rain in eastern and southern areas. Overnight, some western regions might experience fog or mist, and winds could reach speeds of up to 40 km/h, potentially raising dust in exposed areas.

Tuesday’s forecast suggests similar conditions, with convective clouds possibly bringing rain to eastern and southern parts of the country. Winds may strengthen further, reaching speeds of up to 50 km/h, which could cause blowing dust.

By Wednesday, October 21, the skies are expected to remain fair to partly cloudy, with another chance of afternoon rainfall in eastern and southern areas. The forecast also predicts higher humidity levels overnight, likely resulting in fog or mist on Thursday morning in coastal and inland locations.

The changing weather is attributed to surface and upper-air low-pressure systems affecting the region. As the UAE navigates these conditions, residents are urged to exercise caution due to the potential for reduced visibility from fog, mist, and blowing dust.
