The United Arab Emirates has made a significant contribution to humanitarian efforts in Gaza by delivering 980 tonnes of aid through a convoy of 62 trucks. This substantial shipment includes essential food, medical supplies, and materials for shelter, aimed at supporting civilians who have been impacted by the ongoing conflict in the region.
This latest initiative is part of Operation Gallant Knight 3, organized by the UAE, which commenced in October 2023. The operation has seen the UAE extend its assistance through various routes including land, air, and sea, demonstrating a comprehensive approach to humanitarian aid. Supplies were prepared at the UAE Humanitarian Aid Logistics Centre located in Al Arish, Egypt, ensuring that the aid reaches those in need as efficiently as possible.
Beyond the delivery of aid, the UAE has also taken proactive steps in providing medical support by establishing medical facilities on the ground. These facilities have been instrumental in treating thousands of injured and critically ill patients, many of whom have been evacuated for further medical care.
The convoy of aid trucks represents the UAE’s steadfast commitment to addressing the urgent humanitarian needs of the people in Gaza. This ongoing effort highlights the country’s dedication to providing relief and support amid challenging circumstances.
