Sheikh Khaled Evaluates ADNOC’s Technological Innovations for Reliable Energy Provision

Date:

In the face of increased volatility in global energy markets, Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed has underscored the pivotal role of the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC). During a meeting held at ADNOC’s headquarters, Sheikh Khaled chaired the Executive Committee of the Board of Directors, where he evaluated the company’s operational and financial standings. The discussions also revolved around strategies to ensure dependable energy supplies amidst recent challenges impacting maritime navigation in the area.

Sheikh Khaled emphasized the need for ADNOC to bolster its status as an integrated energy entity by linking production, trading, and logistics operations. He highlighted the significance of the company’s operational agility and cohesive capabilities in satisfying customer demand. The meeting also included a briefing on ADNOC’s global liquefied natural gas (LNG) marketing and trading platform, which was launched in July. This initiative is projected to reach 47 million tonnes per annum of marketable LNG beyond 2030, thereby broadening supply options for customers and enhancing access to ADNOC’s expanding gas portfolio.

Prior to the meeting, Sheikh Khaled took the time to visit ADNOC’s emergency control centre. He interacted with employees and business continuity teams who are tasked with ensuring safe and efficient operations during potential disruptions. This visit underscored the importance Sheikh Khaled places on operational safety and continuity.

The discussions during the meeting primarily focused on augmenting ADNOC’s capability to adapt to evolving global energy dynamics while continuing to provide secure and reliable supplies to their clientele. By stressing these priorities, Sheikh Khaled’s leadership aims to position ADNOC as a resilient and flexible player in the international energy sector.
