Residents of the United Arab Emirates should brace for unsettled weather conditions this week, as rain is expected to sweep across various regions on Tuesday. According to forecasts, convective clouds will develop over northern, eastern, and southern areas, potentially bringing rainfall accompanied by strong winds and blowing dust.
Temperature readings are likely to climb to 40°C in inland areas, while coastal and island regions may experience temperatures between 33°C and 37°C. Mountainous areas can expect a milder climate, with temperatures ranging from 26°C to 32°C. Wind speeds are predicted to vary from 10 to 25 km/h, but could escalate to 45 km/h in inland regions and 40 km/h in mountainous areas.
As the day progresses into night and early Wednesday morning, humidity is anticipated to increase in some coastal and inland locations, raising the possibility of fog or mist formation. The Arabian Gulf is expected to experience slight to moderate conditions, whereas the Oman Sea remains calm.
The weather instability is linked to a surface low-pressure system coupled with a weak upper-level low-pressure system. This pattern is expected to persist through Saturday, with rain-bearing clouds potentially forming over northern and eastern areas on Wednesday, and winds intensifying up to 50 km/h. Rainfall might continue in eastern and southern areas on Thursday, and extend to northern regions by the weekend.
Weather authorities advise residents to stay informed about the changing conditions, as fog or mist may develop overnight and during early morning hours in some coastal and inland areas, especially in the western region.
