UAE Weather Update: Heavy Rain Hits Fujairah as More Showers Expected

Date:

Parts of the UAE experienced unsettled weather on Saturday, with heavy morning rain reported in Fujairah and moderate to heavy rainfall affecting the east coast and northern regions. Weather authorities said the conditions are due to a weak low-pressure system from the east interacting with a high-pressure system from the west, along with the influence of an upper-air low-pressure system.
Several areas in Fujairah, including Al Aqah, saw intense rainfall during the morning hours. Overall, weather conditions across the UAE are expected to remain fair to partly cloudy, with low clouds forming over eastern and northern regions and a continued chance of rain throughout the day.
Humidity levels are forecast to increase by night and into Sunday morning, particularly along coastal areas, raising the likelihood of mist and reduced visibility. Winds are expected to be light to moderate, occasionally freshening, while sea conditions are predicted to remain slight in both the Arabian Gulf and the Oman Sea.
Authorities have also warned of possible fog formation in coastal and inland areas during the early morning hours, which may reduce visibility. Motorists have been advised to drive cautiously and follow official safety instructions during periods of low visibility.
