Smart Traffic Systems Implemented for Diversions Near Dubai’s Al Safah, City Walk

Date:

Drivers in Dubai should prepare for significant changes in their daily routes as major traffic diversions have been implemented around Al Safah and City Walk. These changes aim to maintain traffic flow and enhance accessibility amid ongoing road development projects in the area.

As part of the extensive Al Safa Street development project, Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has introduced diversions on both Al Satwa Street and Al Multaqa Street. The goal is to improve road connectivity and alleviate congestion during the construction phase, ensuring smoother commutes for residents and visitors.

This initiative is one element of a larger Dh2 billion infrastructure project designed to bolster connections between key roads across the emirate. The ambitious Latifa bint Hamdan corridor project, spanning 12 kilometers, will eventually link several major roadways, including Sheikh Zayed Road, Al Khail Road, and Emirates Road.

Scheduled for completion by the end of 2028, the corridor project includes the construction of seven bridges and eight tunnels. Once completed, the upgraded infrastructure is expected to accommodate over 16,000 vehicles per hour in both directions, significantly easing traffic conditions in this bustling part of Dubai.
