Netanyahu’s Confident Café Appearance Draws Global Applause as Iran Announces Kill Vow

Date:

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s decision to film himself at a local café and post the video on X drew widespread international commentary, much of it laudatory, as the clip showed him dismissing death rumors and AI conspiracy theories with calm humor while confirming that Israel’s military campaign against Iran and Lebanon was actively underway. The video was seen as a model of wartime public communication. Netanyahu appeared entirely at ease.
The Prime Minister used a Hebrew idiom to turn the death rumors into a joke, saying the only dying he was doing was over coffee. He then addressed the Israeli public with warmth and sincerity, praising their incredible support and saying it was a genuine source of strength for himself, the government, and the country’s entire security apparatus. He described their behavior as one of the most remarkable things he had witnessed.
The video tackled the claim that footage from a recent Netanyahu press conference had been artificially generated. The conspiracy had rested on a clip appearing to show him with six fingers on one hand. He displayed both hands clearly and counted each finger in turn, treating the theory with humor but making his rebuttal impossible to ignore.
Netanyahu confirmed that Israeli forces were conducting strong military operations in both Iran and Lebanon. He declined to share operationally sensitive details but communicated confidence in the direction of the campaign. He also issued an important public safety reminder, urging every Israeli to follow civil defense protocols and stay near protected spaces.
Iran’s IRGC responded to the video with a formal declaration through official state media, pledging to pursue and kill Netanyahu. The statement described him in inflammatory terms and was framed as an institutional military commitment. The public and official nature of the kill threat stood in sharp contrast to the sunny confidence of Netanyahu’s café appearance.
