Advanced Forecasting Predicts Intensified Heat and Humidity for UAE Eid Holiday

Date:

As the UAE approaches the Eid Al Adha holiday period, residents can anticipate a rise in temperatures, coupled with humid nights, according to forecasts by the National Center of Meteorology. The weather throughout the week is expected to range from fair to partly cloudy, with a noticeable warming trend as summer looms closer.

A brief respite from the heat is anticipated on Sunday, bringing a slight dip in temperatures alongside potential fog or mist in some western and coastal areas overnight and into the early morning. However, this cooler spell will be short-lived, as hotter weather is predicted to return from Monday, aligning with the commencement of the Eid break for government workers.

During the holiday, temperatures are projected to soar to around 43°C in Al Ain and 41°C in Fujairah. Accompanying these high temperatures, light to moderate winds may occasionally gust up to 35 km/h. Coastal regions, in particular, can expect increased humidity levels during the nighttime and early morning hours, while sea conditions in the Arabian Gulf and the Oman Sea are likely to remain calm.

This trend of rising temperatures marks the gradual shift into the UAE’s summer season, following a relatively mild spring. In recent weeks, temperatures in several locales have already surpassed the 40°C mark, indicating the onset of the hotter months. The northern hemisphere’s astronomical summer officially begins on June 21.
