In a significant meeting held in Abu Dhabi on Thursday, UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan engaged in discussions with Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, the Ruler of Fujairah. The talks underscored the UAE’s dedication to fostering national development and supporting its citizens. The leaders highlighted the integral role of Emirati citizens in the nation’s development strategy, emphasizing their importance in realizing the UAE’s long-term objectives. They also expressed hopes for the continued security, prosperity, and progress of the United Arab Emirates.
Sheikh Hamad was accompanied by Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad Al Sharqi, the Crown Prince of Fujairah, during this pivotal meeting. The gathering also saw the participation of several high-ranking officials, including Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior; Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi; and Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Court for Special Affairs. Sheikh Dr Rashid bin Hamad Al Sharqi, Chairman of the Fujairah Culture and Media Authority, was also in attendance, along with numerous ministers and government officials.
This meeting is part of the UAE leadership’s ongoing efforts to regularly consult and review national priorities. The discussions are aimed at enhancing cooperation among the emirates and improving the quality of life for both citizens and residents. Such gatherings are crucial in aligning strategies and ensuring a unified approach to the country’s development goals.
The dialogue between the leaders comes on the heels of President Sheikh Mohamed’s visit to Fujairah in April. During that visit, he and Sheikh Hamad toured Fujairah Port, reviewing the development projects and operational advancements at one of the UAE’s essential maritime gateways. These visits and meetings are indicative of the UAE’s commitment to continuous improvement and strategic development in key areas.
