UAE Criticizes Iran’s Digital Assaults on Kuwait, Strengthens Technological Unity in Gulf

Date:

In a recent phone call with Kuwaiti Foreign Minister Sheikh Jarrah Jaber Al Sabah, UAE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed strongly denounced Iran’s missile and drone strikes on Kuwait, categorizing them as acts of terrorism. The conversation between the two officials centered on regional developments and the security implications following the attacks. Kuwaiti authorities have confirmed their air defense systems successfully intercepted the hostile missiles and drones, reassuring the public that the explosions heard were due to these successful defenses.

Sheikh Abdullah conveyed the UAE’s unwavering solidarity with Kuwait, pledging full support for measures designed to protect the nation’s security and stability. He highlighted the intertwined security interests of Kuwait, the UAE, and the broader Gulf region, emphasizing that the security of Kuwait is deeply connected with that of its neighbors.

This incident takes place against the backdrop of ongoing diplomatic discussions between the United States and Iran. Despite reports of progress in these negotiations, U.S. officials have noted that any prospective agreement is still pending final approval.

Simultaneously, tensions remain high in the Strait of Hormuz concerning maritime security. Iran has criticized recent U.S. statements on shipping operations in this crucial waterway, labeling them unlawful and a breach of international standards.

The UAE’s expression of support for Kuwait reflects increasing regional anxiety over security and stability. As diplomatic negotiations continue alongside heightened military tensions, the situation in the Gulf region remains delicate.
