UAE Leaders Celebrate Emirati Women’s Day, Highlighting 50 Years of Progress

UAE leaders marked Emirati Women’s Day by praising the vital role women play in the nation’s growth and community development. The 2025 celebration carries the theme “Hand in Hand, We Celebrate 50 Years”, coinciding with the 50th anniversary of the General Women’s Union, founded in 1975.
President Sheikh Mohamed emphasized that the UAE’s progress is inseparable from the achievements of Emirati women, describing them as key contributors to strengthening communities and shaping the nation’s future. He highlighted the launch of the Mother of the Nation 50:50 Vision, reinforcing equal partnership in national development.
Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid described women as the “soul of the homeland,” honoring their roles as mothers, daughters, sisters, and partners in building generations and driving change. Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed also praised Emirati women’s strong presence in various fields, stressing their continued leadership in shaping the country’s journey forward.
Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, the Mother of the Nation, called Emirati women the heartbeat of society and the foundation of sustainable development. She underlined that women’s empowerment remains central to family stability, social cohesion, and national progress.
